Desert-tough plants from a desert tough woman.
I started Darling Cactus Co. on a backyard deck in Pennsylvania. Not exactly the prime place to grow cacti. I fell in love with cacti and succulents specifically for their toughness. I would propagate and gift to friends and family. Years later when I moved to Phoenix I learned important lessons about what the sun is capable of, what happens when the floor is actually lava, what happens when the temp doesnt go below 100°, even at night. I've grown dozens of different cacti in my backyard. They have survived stages of my life, highs and lows. They are tested. Their roots are proof of their resilience.
